Due to ongoing severe health issues and complications, could I please ask everybody to hold all email, especially requests for reviews etc., until "normal sevice" is resumed. I'm really in no condition yet to attend to any amount of email, and there is a backlog of some 1,000 messages already. I'll try and deal with these as soon as my condition permits, but please, don't add to this backlog if possible. "I'll be back" - ASAP.

Note to artists re: CD reviews: While I
often do buy the CDs I review (or borrow them from public libraries and
the like as well as friends), obviously, my buying power is limited and
I cannot afford to buy every CD I would like to have, let alone every CD
I am asked to review. Therefore, free review CDs are always welcome, and
are almost guaranteed a review on this site.
I would like to express a big "thank you" to all
artists who have donated CDs already. If your CD's review has not appeared
here yet, please be patient, I'm trying to catch up as quickly as I can
and your review will, normally, appear within one to two weeks of my receiving
it.
Renaissance Man is a nickname I acquired from friends
on account of my wide-ranging interests as well as diverse knowledge, experience
and background in a great variety of the arts and literature as well as
my almost equally wide-ranging interests in the sciences. When I started
this web site, I decided it would make a suitable sobriquet to write under,
being an intensely private sort of person.
